On Christmas Eve Scott and I made a quick stop at Petco to pick the pups up something extra from Santa. Of course I couldn’t just stick to the mission at hand so I wandered over to look at the adoptable cats and the critters for sale.
I happened to see two poor baby betta fish and decided we needed to save one. Only one because giving a betta the proper environment requires a decent sized aquarium with a heater and filter.
So, the rescue mission began. We brought Jingle home and I switched her over to a larger container until I could get her new home properly set up. If you’ve ever researched the proper way to establish an aquarium it takes time to get the conditions right.
We have a sunroom off the kitchen and there is an opening between the two rooms where the old kitchen window used to be. We decided to put the aquarium on that ledge so we could see it from both rooms.
I’m no fish photographer, but did try to get some pictures so we can look back and see how much she has grown. Given the location of the aquarium, I wound up with some interesting photo bombs.
